Dom Flemons, founding member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, brilliantly takes on blues, ragtime and early jazz with a touch of folk and rock 'n' roll on his first solo album.

Dom Flemons, who describes himself as “The American Songster”, draws on traditional American folk to create new sounds. Dom Flemons has been a professional musician since 2005 and has performed live in front of over a million people in the last three years alone. As a founding member and part of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, he has performed at numerous festivals and venues.

Now Dom is releasing his first solo album after leaving the Carolina Chocolate Drops. On “Prospect Hill” he digs deep into ragtime, Piedmont blues, Southern folk, spiritual songs and old jug band songs. He draws inspiration from traditional American folk and uses it to create fresh, new sounds. Dom Flemons interprets all of this for the 21st century audience with a pinch of humor and his personable and entertaining style.
