It is ironic that Andy Fairweather Low appeared on the scene in 1967 in the UK with his Top 20 hit “Gin House Blues,” inspired by Bessie Smith's classic 1928 recording, but that the many hits he has had since his time as frontman of “Amen Corner” have gradually overshadowed his undeniable qualities as a great bluesman. However, this extraordinary talent has not gone unnoticed by some of the world's best artists, who have benefited from his deep blue skills as a guitarist and singer.

Andy has largely missed out on the recognition he deserves in the blues world, and that's probably because he has never released a blues album until now—which is why I wanted to make a record that reveals the identity of the Invisible Bluesman to the world beyond his existing loyal fans.
