The Cowboys are made up of former band members and a founding member of the most successful German country band of all time—TRUCK STOP.

Today—more than five decades later—it is precisely those musicians who, as the defining figures of that era, helped shape the sound, who are lacing up their boots together once again. Under the name DIE COWBOYS, they are now back on stage. Joining them are Rainer Bach and Uwe Lost, Dirk Schlag, Chris Kaufmann, and Florian Lost—all singers and musicians who helped make country music big in Germany.

The Cowboys aim to revive the glory days, naturally bringing along all the big hits from their original band, such as “Der wilde Westen,” “Ich möcht` so gern Dave Dudley hör ́n,” “Großstadtrevier,” “Old Texas Town, die Westernstadt,” and more—spanning “50 colorful years,” as one of their new song titles reveals, along with other new tracks that stand in the great country tradition of their past.

Also included are country classics that have shaped their musical style in an incomparable way, such as songs by the country rock legends The Eagles or country hits from the late ’60s like “Marylou—Goodbye Heart” or “Hello Josephine.”
