Founded in 1979 and still brilliant and bluesy! The City Blues Connection, led by German music veteran Norbert Egger, really gets the party started and rocks out, especially live.The title says it all, and together with his fellow musicians, he plays in a very relaxed manner in front of an enthusiastic audience. Particularly noteworthy are the skills of Steve Baker on the blues harp and Hubert Graßl on the tuba, who lends a special touch to tracks such as “Fishing Blues” and “Anna Liza” with his deep brass tones. But the other band members, including singers Anne Bischow and Lydia Stone, are also absolute masters of their craft. The announcements and audience reactions were also recorded, and the live sound is warm and clear! And so the 13-piece ensemble grooves its way through mostly original compositions by Norbert Egger such as “She's Great” (see video), “This Angel,” “Muddy Waters,” “Weepin'n' Moanin,” and “Leave You In The Mornin',” covering a wide variety of blues styles (including Delta and Chicago blues).
