BONESHAKERS Pull Up The Roots (CD)

The Boneshakers – Pull Up The Roots presents the band in a stripped-down and direct musical setting. Released by Gulf Coast Records, the CD brings together blues, soul and Americana. The sound is shaped by Jenny Langer’s expressive vocals and Randy Jacobs’s guitar work. The six tracks—“Your Luck Won’t Last,” “Pull Up The Roots,” “Help The Poor,” “Busted Up On Love,” “Teach Me How To Stay” and “Fire On The Bayou”—combine original material with a reinterpretation of songs from other artists’ repertoires. The focus is on interplay, groove and an organic, unembellished approach to performance.
