Grooveyard Records is proud to present A Tribute To Budgie - Vol. 2 of the Bandolier Kings disc Time To Remember, the excellent follow-up to the first Budgie tribute disc entitled Welcome To The Zoom Club.  On that disc we focused on the "Chapter 1" songs of the 70's from Budgie's musical book with Tony Bourge on guitar and on Time To Remember we pay tribute to the Chapter 2 era of Budgie with John Thomas on guitar.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Burke Shelley on January 10, 2022 and the death of John Thomas in 2016. The Bandolier Kings - Time To Remember is dedicated in honor and memory of Burke Shelley & John Thomas whose music is celebrated on this musical document. The Bandolier Kings - Time To Remember (A Tribute To Budgie - Volume 2) features the outstanding musical talents of Janne Stark (Mountain Of Power) on guitar and Tony Spinner (Toto / Paul Gilbert) on vocals and guitar, both of which are 100% authentic with their fantastic versions of classic Budgie songs with pure love, respect and admiration. The "Time To Remember" disc also features the following excellent drummers: Brian Mullins (The Cold Stares), TrumPeter Svensson (Mountain Of Power) & Jesper Persson (Alicate), along with John Gallagher (Raven) handling the bass guitar on some tracks. The Bandolier Kings - Time To Remember is an amazing, legitimate Budgie "tribute disc" with 16 mega-excellent, memorable, classic songs that are timeless and rock forever. As a fitting tribute to Burke Shelley, we end the new disc with a version of the dynamic and intimate B-side song Honey from Budgie's Chapter 1 era, dedicated to the epic, solid man of rock. Finally, I would like to thank the outstanding musical talents of Janne Stark & Tony Spinner for their authentic, real versions of Budgie songs.
