US-Amerikanische Country-Sängerin der etwas rebellischeren Art. Sie scheut auch keine Rock Töne in ihrer Musik. Aus einfachen Verhältnissen stammend wurde sie am 26. Juni 1973 in dem 700 Seelen Dorf Pocahontas, Illinois, geboren. Größter Erfolg bisher: Das Album 'Here For The Party', mit fünf Platin Auszeichnungen. Mit den Academy Of Country Music Awards wurde sie im selben Jahr in den Kategorien "Top Female Vocalist" und "Top New Artist" ausgezeichnet.
