"Wild Canyon"

Seit 1977 kann die vierköpfige Band Wild Canyon um den gebürtigen Wiesbadener Gun-ther Eberhardt auf 6 LPs und diverse Singleplatten verweisen.

Bandleader Gunther Eberhardt erinnert sich: "Als wir uns 1975 zum ersten Mal mit un-sereninstrumenten trafen, waren wir alle von den Gitarren-Aufnahmen solcher Stars wie Duane Eddy und Chet Atkins oder solcher Gruppen wie Shadows und Ventures begeistert. Unser erster Bandname hieß denn auch 'The Twangin' Shadows' und sollte unsere ganze Leidenschaft für diese M usik zum Ausdruck bringen."
Wer die vorliegende CD einlegt, wird bald ein Ohr bekommen für den typischen kris-tallklaren Sound von Wild Canyon, der seit 1980 im eigenen Tonstudio in Wiesbaden entsteht.

Neben dem Gitarrenvirtuosen Duane Eddy ist es besonders `Mr. Guitar' Chet Atkins aus Nashville, Tennessee, dessen hohe Musikalität bei Wild Canyon hörbare Begeisterung auslöst.
Die persönliche Bekanntschaft mit Chet Atkins 1982 in Nashville zählt für den Gitarris-ten Gunther Eberhardt zu den nachhaltigsten Erlebnissen in seiner musikalischen Lauf-bahn. Und: die Begegnung leitete eine Partnerschaft ein, von der wir Musikfreunde mit dem Kauf jeder Wild Canyon Platte profitieren.

In meinen Radio-Programmen hat die Band Wild Canyon seit Jahren ihren festen Platz. Und nun - jede Menge Freude beim Hören!
