Imagine the sound of a country band and an early RnB group. In front 3 lead singers. Their voices unite into wonderful, powerful polyphonic harmonies. The whole thing rocks. The group Western Centuries from the USA present their debut album'Weight of the World', produced by Bill Reynolds and recorded in Nashville.

On the one hand, it shows the great musicality and playful ability of the band, on the other hand, the great innovative joy in songwriting. You will find Uptempo dance pieces, beautiful love songs and all kinds of other tempos and themes. The volume succeeds in mixing genres while radiating naturalness, suppleness and musical continuity. Only a few succeed in doing so. Maybe it's the different backgrounds of the band members and especially the three lead singers who are also the songwriters: Cahalen Morrison, Jim Miller and Ethan Lawton. Cahalen Morrison is a country musician, Jim Miller is the founder of Zydeco, folk rock band'Donna the Buffalo' and Ethan Lawton comes from R&B, bluegrass and punk rock. A undoubtedly musically colorful troupe!

You can hear sounds from the pedal steel guitar and the country telecaster. Lyrics take up typical country music themes. But only the second time you hear it, you recognize the progressive, almost psychedelic character of the lyrics, which gives the 12 tracks a surprising two-layered character.

This is just the beginning of'Western Centuries' and it is not expected that the well of the bubbling creative energy of this rocking, country RnB band will soon run dry again. Neo-traditional country music with brains!
