It was considered one of the most eccentric and scandalous albums of its time. It was unusual at the time for women to sing such explicit songs, and it may have helped to put the album in the spotlight and make it attractive to a wider audience. Despite much controversy and scandal due to its provocative title and instantly recognizable salacious cover, the album managed to find its fans and become one of the label's best-selling albums.
 The 10-track album, recorded by Fay Richmonde, Angelina, Miss D and Saul T. Peter, was one of the first albums to include many new provocative themes in the songs.
