Delmark Records - The record label for Blues Music and Jazz Music
Since 1953 there is the record label Delmark Records, which convinces with releases on CDs, DVDs or vinyl records from the genre blues and jazz. Major artists such as Junior Wells, Paul Bascomb and Luther Allison signed to Bob Koester in the 1950s and 1960s at Delmark. Through his experiences as a buyer of jazz and blues vinyl records, Bob Koester understood the value of the unpublished recordings.
At that time he acquired many important master recordings, for which many blues and jazz fans can thank him. So the founder of Delmark Records came for example to the recordings of the parkway sessions of Little Walter and Muddy Waters, which were created before the career at Chess Records. Blues and jazz artists such as Lonnie Brooks, Carey Bell, Jimmy Reed, Magic Slim and Jimmy Rogers are an important part of the record label Delmark and are heartily produced on CDs, DVDs or vinyl records.
Delmark Records CDs, DVDs and vinyl records
Today, the veteran of the blues and jazz music scene from the US even releases DVDs with live concerts by current artists such as Mississippi Heat and Tail Dragger. Nevertheless, the rare recordings on CDs and vinyl records by Delmark are not forgotten and fill our range with rarities.
