Heavy Metal fans were probably the biggest youth subculture in the GDR in the second half of the 1980s. These five CDs, including a highly competent, yet exciting booklet text by the author of the best-selling book "RED METAL" Nicolai Okunew, offer for the first time a comprehensive overview of this bustling scene.

Special highlights of this CD box set include a number of previously unreleased productions from the popular DT64 program "Tendenz Hard bis Heavy" (CD4) as well as a previously unreleased live recording of the first and only Heavy Metal festival from March 1988 in Berlin.
