Three decades after Travis Tritt launched his music career, the Southern rock-influenced artist remains true and relevant to country fans everywhere. Born in Marietta, Georgia, Tritt incorporated his lifelong Southern rock, blues and gospel influences into his country during his honky-tonk apprenticeship, which led him to Warner Bros. in 1989. Tritt's albums, seven of which have been certified platinum or higher, have sold more than 30 million albums, earned him two Grammy Awards, four CMA Awards, an invitation to perform on the world-famous Grand Ole Opry and a loyal fan base that fills concert halls from coast to coast. Travis Tritt has been called one of "The Class of '89," which included country superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson, all of whom dominated the charts in the early '90s.
