Jo Stafford began her long career in the 1940's as a member of the Pied Pipers backing group singing with theTommy Dorsey Orchestra. Jo moved to Capitol Records where she established herself as a solo artist. Columbia Records of America later signed Jo Stafford to a long running contract and in the 1950's her big hits "Shrimp Boats", "Jambalaya" and "You Belong To Me" achieved long running success on the hit parades of the United States, England and Australia.

With her musical director, arranger and husband Paul Weston, always at her side, Jo Stafford had become a legend and mentor to the pop music industry.
