The Springsteen On Broadway soundtrack album is released with songs and stories from the historic 236-performance series of shows at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York. The long player features the complete audio recordings from the upcoming Springsteen On Broadway broadcast.

Based on his autobiography Born To Run, a worldwide bestseller, Springsteen On Broadway is a unique evening featuring Bruce, his guitar, a piano and his own personal stories. On the album, these stories are laid out as their own track and marked as an introduction (Introduction) to the song that follows. The audio was mixed by Bob Clearmountain and mastered by Bob Ludwig.
Springsteen On Broadway premiered on October 3, 2017, with the completely sold-out show series officially launching on October 12. The originally estimated eight weeks had to be extended three times and now ended on December 15, 2018.
