The Blues Music Award-winning and Grammy-nominated Memphis family band plays original, modern soul and roots music that is uplifting and timeless.

The first single “Found A Friend In You” from the new album “Family” immediately landed on the Triple A radio charts, where it was promoted by the likes of WFUV/New York. The single's release coincided with a 9-date tour at the Bob Dylan/Willie Nelson-headlined Outlaw Music Festival. In addition to the excellent publicity Southern Avenue received from these appearances, Willie was so enamored with the Jackson sisters' vocals that he hired them as backup singers during his performance. And that's not all: Bob watched their performance from the edge of the stage and had his photo taken with them.

On “Family”, their fourth album and first for Alligator, the band unleash one musically memorable performance after another, all delivered with soul-healing power. From the triumphant opener “Long Is The Road” to the soulful “Found A Friend In You” to the roaring Rum Boogie, the music is a vibrant blend of Memphis soul and blues, warm sister harmonies and positive messages reminiscent of the Staple Singers. From the irresistible “Upside” to the fierce determination of “Flying” to the closing, reflective “We Are”, “Family” reveals hard-hitting, universal truths about the unshakable power of togetherness.
