Great songs aren't carved in stone. Since releasing his breakthrough debut album Ledbetter Heights in 1995, followed by his career-defining second album Trouble Is... in 1997, Kenny Wayne Shepherd has left the blues clubs of Louisiana to hit the music scene. worldwide, he transformed these classic tunes into bold new forms every night on stage. Guided by the audience's pulse, every living note in their hands, the Trouble Is... Tracks were always on the move, not settling into museum rooms.

But giving a second birth to a quarter-century-old album is another matter. And when the five-time Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum artist recently celebrated 25 years of Trouble Is... he hatched a bold plan:

'One of the things coolest thing about re-recording Trouble Is... was discovering - or confirming - just how timeless this album truly is," says Shepherd, who is also leading a triumphant anniversary tour of the United States in 2022 and 2023, during which he will perform the album in its entirety. I'm so proud of what we've achieved and the fact that I was only 18 when I recorded it. I mean with this album I had an experience that most musicians can only dream of. Trouble Is... has sold millions of copies. All of this is confirmation for me.
