Wow! Er kann es noch - und wie! Mit dieser Produktion bewegt sich der Duke zeitlich zurück in jene Epoche, als er 17 war und die Texte seiner Blues-Favoriten auswendig lernte. Produzent Jack Gauthier beschreibt, wie es gelingt, den authentischen und lebendigen Sound der alten Klassiker heute aufzunehmen, mit nur wenigen Mikrofonen, ohne Overdubs und alle Musiker spielen live in einem Raum, und dann sofort auf 2-Zoll-Tonband. Wow! He can still do it, and he does it so good! With the production the Duke is moving back to his early days when he was 17 and loving the lowdown blues. In the liner notes, producer Jack Gauthier explains how to record blues the old-fashioned way, with just a handful of mikes, and everybody playing together live in one room. Recorded to 2 tape.
