Redbone were an LA band formed in 1970 by American-born Pat and Lolly Vegas and backed and promoted by JIMI HENDRIX at the time.

Their biggest hit “Witch Queen From New Orleans” comes from the album MESSAGE FROM A DRUM, which is included in this set and was originally released in 1971. The CYCLES album, released in 1977, was the first to be credited to REDBONE featuring PAT & LOLLY VEGAS. POTLACH, originally released in 1970, was the band's second album.
