They were playing rock 'n' roll as early as April 1956. The CD also contains all the solo recordings by the Prowlers’ lead singer, Les Vogt. In Vancouver, Les had a number 1 song with The Blamers. It knocked Elvis'sIt's Now Or Never out of the top spot back in 1960. Later, it was released in the US on Apt Records, and achieved some local success on the west coast. For rock ‘n’ roll fans, this is an undiscovered gem. Raw, exciting first generation rock ‘n’ roll by someone you’ve probably never heard of. There are still sweet surprises after all these years!
