Elvis Presley: From Elvis In Memphis - Legacy Edition (2-CD)

(Music On CD / Sony Music) 36 tracks - digipac

From Elvis In Memphis is the tenth studio album by Elvis Presley, released in 1969. The recording of the album marked Presley's final return to albums without soundtracks after he ended his film contract with Paramount Pictures. Motivated by his early influences in country, rhythm and blues and the latest music trend in Memphis, gospel and soul, Presley decided to record these songs at American Sound Studio in Memphis.

His comeback was definitive when he scored a hit with the sublime In the Ghetto, which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. The album can be considered one of his best recordings, with support from some fantastic musicians. It is often ranked as one of the best white soul albums of all time.

This is the Legacy Edition of one of Elvis most significant albums, the critically acclaimed June 1969 release, from Elvis in Memphis. This 2 CD set contains all tracks from the sessions recorded at American Studios in Memphis in January and February of 1969, newly remastered for optimum sound quality.
