Recorded shortly after Elvis' discharge from the US Army in 1960, this album is completely different from what he had done before or what he would do later.

'Elvis Is Back' was Presley's first album to be released in stereophonic sound. And he's back in style! This is perhaps one of the five best Elvis studio albums. He recorded with the best Nashville musicians including Bob Moore, Floyd Cramer, Hank Garland, Buddy Harman, The Jordanaires, Scotty Moore and Boots Randolph playing the wild saxophone.

'Something For Everybody' from 1961 is also a masterpiece and the result of just one night in the recording studio!

Hier hatte er am 14. 9. 1959 die 14jährige Priscilla Beaulieu kennengelernt, die er am 1. 5. 1967 heiratete (Scheidung 1973). Auf der Single 'Wooden Heart' von 1960 streute Elvis Presley deutsche Text-Passagen ( - 'Muß i denn, muß i denn zum Städtele hinaus' usw.) ein.
