This CD features Elvis' opening show at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel on 19 August 1974 at the start of his eleventh season, during which he performed an almost completely revised set list.

For the first time ever, the original recording has been remastered and mixed in stereo. The accompanying booklet contains rare photos and memorabilia from the event, as well as a few introductory remarks.

Down In The Alley

Und wieder eine Veröffentlichung von MRS, die es in sich hat. Das Booklet wurde mit viel Liebe fürs Detail gestaltet. Der Text ist informativ. Das wichtigste ist natürlich das zu hörende Konzert. Die Stereoabmischung kommt gut zur Geltung, es klingt auch über Kopfhörer satt und ist weder in den Höhen oder Tiefen übersteuert.
Die Titelauswahl ist super, nicht nur das Titelgebende "Down In The Alley " auch Songs wie "Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues " oder "I'm Leaving" wurden von Elvis nur selten live vorgetragen.
Also klare Kaufempfehlung.
