Destination Louisville is a delightful new Elvis photobook (hardback, full color, A4, 92 pages quality paper) containing over 100 unpublished photos from that day. You see Elvis arriving at the venue, during the concert and after. These remarkable photos really capture the energy and excitement of Elvis on stage. The June ’74 tour was one of his best, and the Louisville concert was one of the highlights of the tour. Elvis wore his dazzling new ‘Peacock’ suit that night, and he looked and sounded spectacular. The fan who took these photographs had the best seat in the house (frontrow, center), and her recollections of that night give an extra dimension to her photography. There’s also plenty of memorabilia included, including documentation from Colonel Parker’s office, newspaper clippings, reviews and more. Duke Bardwell, who was Elvis’ bass player at the time, wrote down some of his (insider) memories specifically for the book, and his insights and observations will surprise you.

The first edition of the book includes a special vinyl single containing home-recordings from April 1974, ‘Spanish Eyes’ and ‘Let Me Be The One’. These were taken from the actual cassette.
