(Omnivore) 20 Tracks - Digipack - 

Leroy Pierson is a great blues fan, a scholar and collector, as well as a promoter, producer and player. Two of the melodies on "Rusty Nail" were written by Pierson's mentor Mississippi Fred McDowell (who thought so much of Pierson that he wanted his guitar). Pierson's interpretation of "Write Me A Few Lines" is in itself worth the price of this CD. The guitar work is excellent, at first subtle, but at the end of the track you jump and jive. 

The CD contains spicy renditions of old classics like "Catfish", "Roll And Tumble", "Highway 61" and the Rockabilly classic ''Twenty Flight Rock'' by Eddie Cochran. The 10 unreleased tracks are almost better than the ones released in 1988! Since then Leroy has spent a lot of time promoting his other love, reggae. Pierson is an elusive but influential blues figure!
