Active since 2008, THE PANTHERS, who partly consist of members of other bands like ALLEYCATS, have developed an extensive repertoire of mostly 50's classics for their numerous shows in the English Northwest. The quartet from Newcastle upon Tyne performs in a classic Teddyboy line-up with electric bass and now presents its album debut with "Boogie For The Devil".

The Brits have not let themselves be lumpen and besides two cover versions they offer here no less than eight self-written songs, recorded in the modern sound picture. ADE AYNSLEY (vocals, harmonica), ANTH PURDY (guitar, vocals), TONY CRANNEY (bass, vocals) and LEE DAVIS (drums) present a convincing album in revival rock'n'roll / Teddyboy style and leave no opportunity from the ballad ("Wrap My Arms Around You") to veritable rockers ("HD Boogie") to offer the rock'n'roll fans a convincing genre work.
