Panhandle Alks is a German rockabilly band founded in 1981 by Ralf "Isi" Isbert, former bassist of ZK, and George Benten at the legendary Ratinger Hof in Düsseldorf. They dared something completely new for that time: Rockabilly with German lyrics. And it was very well received! Since their concerts each time degenerated into a gigantic party, the name Alk-A-Billy prevailed for their style of music. Düsseldorf Straight Alk-A-Billy" proves that this also inspires in preserved form.

The album is a compilation of the first two vinyl releases "Fuffi Bop" and "Alk-A-Billy Trail", which were released in 1985 and 86 on Fabsis (ZK, Die Mimmi's), a young Weser label at the time, and contributed significantly to the consolidation of the German rockabilly scene. The latter contains seven own compositions and an incredible cover version of the Toten Hosen song "Bis zum bitteren Ende". No wonder, the Panhandle Alks, Fabsi and Campino & Co. have long and very best friendly relations.
