While other artists have blended bluegrass elements with the singing cowboy tradition, few have done so as recently - or as convincingly - as One Riot, One Ranger.
The five-piece group from Ohio, who are fans of the Sons of the Pioneers and Riders In the Sky, will find much to cheer about in the group's three- and four-part harmonies and Western themes, especially in tracks like “Adios My Amigo” and “Cowboy Lullabye.” Bluegrass fans will also find themselves in safe, familiar territory with the group's instrumental prowess.
1996 was a successful year for debut albums in every respect, but “Faces Made For Radio” should not be missed.
