Gurf Morlix does not deliver an easy late-career record with Cobwebs & Stardust, but a focused statement from an artist who has shaped American songwriting for decades. Known as a producer and guitarist (notably for Lucinda Williams), Morlix operates here with full autonomy: stripped-down, precise, and free of overproduction.

The sound is intenionally raw. Instead of polished Nashville aesthetics, you get dry guitars, minimal arrangements, and a voice that prioritizes narrative over charm.
