In 1971 Matt Monro left Capitol Records because he was unhappy with the decisions made in the USA. He re-signed with EMI Records and stayed there for the rest of his career. This set collects all the recordings he made for EMI during this period, including both previously released and unreleased out-takes and alternate versions. As a bonus, there are also jingles and a couple of previously unheard live recordings from Australia in 1981 with songs Matt never recorded in the studio. When Matt's second EMI LP (released on the Columbia imprint) "The Other Side Of The Stars" was released, after sitting on the shelf for two years, most of the tapes had only been roughly mixed, and that was what found its way into print.

On this release, the entire album (and two other songs from the same sessions) were remixed from the 16-track session tapes. Previous editions of the albums "For The Present" and "The Other Side Of The Stars" featured tracks recorded from vinyl dubbing. For this edition, they were taken from the original first generation mixdown masters. Remastered from the original master tapes by Richard Moore at Mint Audio.
