MINT richtet sich an alle, für die Vinyl viel mehr ist als nur ein Zeitgeist-Phänomen. Wir treffen uns auf Flohmärkten und Plattenbörsen auf der Suche nach dem „Schwarzen Gold“, im Plattenladen um die Ecke oder in ungezählten Gruppen sozialer Netzwerke. MINT will das Sprachrohr einer Community sein, die der Vinyl-Leidenschaft verfallen ist. Deswegen bietet MINT weitaus mehr als Plattenbesprechungen, Technik-Tests oder Service-Strecken.

Im Besonderen wird es uns darum gehen, das Lebensgefühl von Vinyl zu transportieren – die ausführlichen Reportagen, Hintergrundberichte, Dokumentationen und Interviews zum Thema werden allesamt den Anspruch verfolgen, für wirklich jeden Vinyl-Fan spannend und lesenswert zu sein. Dazu zählen auch regelmäßige Diskussionsrunden, in denen Musiker, Fans und die Industrie gleichermaßen zu Wort kommen.

MINT wird von Chefredakteur Achim Karstens verantwortet, der über viele Jahre in der Musikbranche gearbeitet hat und als überaus großer Vinyl-Liebhaber bekannt ist. Ihm zur Seite steht das Fachwissen eines externen Kompetenz-Teams, dessen Besetzung die Inhalte von MINT ebenso prägen soll wie der journalistische Input der VISIONS Magazin- und GALORE Interviews-Redaktion.
