Mike Marshall's solo acoustic guitar recording is a collection of twelve Christmas classics. Marshall, one of the world's most renowned acoustic artists, originally released Midnight Clear in 1997 on the Acorn label. The twelve tracks on Midnight Clear show Marshall at his most lyrical and graceful as he plays such Christmas favorites as “We Three Kings,” “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Oh Hanukah” on his 1966 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar. In the ten years since the CD's release, Mike Marshall has explored a variety of musical genres for Adventure Music, from Brazilian choros to contemporary bluegrass. Marshall is widely recognized for his fearless explorations of the diverse possibilities of guitar and mandolin. He was a member of David Grisman's quintet for five years and a founding member of the folk/chamber music group Montreux and Psychograss.
