After receiving the title 'Guitarist of the Year' at the British Blues Awards last year, Aynsley Lister was nominated in 2016 as 'Best Guitarist' and 'Best Singer'. His new album 'Eyes Wide Open' proves that both nominations are no coincidence.

Here is his eighth studio album of Listers in 20 years. The 39-year-old is a well known in the British bluesrock scene.

For 'Eyes Wide Open', he has recorded 13 new tracks, big melodiesand impressive solos.

Stylistically, he returns to his roots on the new album. Raw and energetic is his very own sound, somewhere between blues and soul, rock and pop.

Starkes modernes Bluesalbum made in the UK

Ansley Lister ist ein Hammeralbum gelungen. Er singt gut und spielt außergewöhnlich Guitarre. Im Mittelpunkt dieses Albums steht der Gesang und ganz besonders das Guitarenspiel von Ansley Lister. Einfach fazinierend seine vielen tollen Guitarensolos.
Die CD ist von Anfang bis Ende sehr spannend. Guitarenfreaks ganz besonders empfohlen. Nicht ganz vergessen möchte das Artwork des Albums. So eine Aufmachung ist heute nicht unbedingt mehr selbstverständlich (Germahlte CD-Hülle + Booklet mit Texten und Bildern).
