The live LP, which was produced for the 10th anniversary and released in 1985, will be re-released on vinyl for the first time in 2024. This double LP will be released on the occasion of Ulrich "Ed" Swillms' 77th birthday on March 07, 2024.

In principle, it contains all the great hits penned by Ed, who stands for an important chapter of East German rock songs and ballads like no other.

Karat

Als die Gruppe Panta Rhei längst nicht nur "erkrankt" war, sondern bereits im Sterben lag, trafen sich im Spätsommer 1974 einer ihrer Mitbegründer, Bassist Henning Protzmann, und der Gitarrist der Uve Schikora Combo, Ulrich Pexa, in der "Kleinen Melodie", einem bekannten Treffpunkt von Musikern in Ost-Berlin. Aus einem lockeren Plausch wurde schnell das konkrete Ziel, eine eigene Band zu gründen. Beider musikalische Vorstellungen hatten sich in den voran gegangenen Monaten verändert – und mit der neuen Formation sollte ein größeres Publikum angesprochen werden. Die Gruppe Karat war geboren. Nach einigen Umbesetzungen und ersten Song-Produktionen beim Rundfunk der DDR kristallisierte sich im Laufe des Jahres 1976 jene Besetzung heraus, mit der Karat später Riesenerfolge feiern...
