In fact, the young man is not only one of Europe's best blues guitarists - he was awarded the "Best European Guitarist" prize at the European Music Awards, he already has a lot of experience. Tours as support from the greats of the genre (Status Quo, Gary Clark Jr., Kenny Wayne Shepherd, James Bay, Van Morrison, Buddy Guy, Joe Bonamassa or Eric Burdon) and over 50,000 sold records speak for themselves.
His new album "The Truth" illustrates the musical development of Laurence Jones over the last five years. He has found his own style and presents ten catchy, mass-compatible crossover songs somewhere between rock, pop and blues. Like his heroes John Mayer, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix, Laurence Jones focuses on the songs as such and combines a lot of feeling, the roughness of the blues and melodies that can be sung along. "The Truth" was recorded at the historic Sony Studios in Miami and produced by Gregory Elias, owner of the Grammy-awarded Top Stop Music label.
