Don't Rock The Jukebox was released in May 1991 and the title track was a smash hit. He didn't want to hear rock in the jukebox, instead George Jones said he wasn't ready for the Rolling Stones yet. But he performed it in a pretty rocking way and within a few weeks, "Don't Rock The Jukebox" entered the country singles charts. It reached number 1 on July 6, 1991. The song stayed there for three weeks and became the most successful country song of the year and was named best single of the year by the Academy of Country Music.
