Golden Earrings' “On The Double” was the band's first double album, released in January 1969. It features tracks ranging from pop songs and acoustic numbers to their well-known heavy rock tracks.

The album includes the band's first piano-based ballad, titled “The Grand Piano.” However, most connoisseurs will associate this album with the song “Just A Little Bit Of Peace In My Heart,” which reached No. 2 on the singles charts in their home country of the Netherlands.

The band toured extensively throughout the country and slowly began to attract attention in countries around the world. With the release of “On The Double,” Golden Earring finally entered the serious world of international music business.
