In 1988, the Georgia Satellites came to Cleveland, Ohio, to play a blistering concert on a Monday night at the local pub, Peabody's, formerly the punk stronghold of Pirates Cove. With Open All Night, the band had a second album under their belt, delivering their raw, open Chuck Berry riff'n'roll in full swing - whether they were reinterpreting the Swinging Blue Jeans' Hippy Hippy Shake from the Tom Cruise movie Cocktail, Joe South's debauched Games People Play, George Jones' White Lightnin' or Jerry Lee Lewis' Whole Lotta Shakin'.

Just as importantly, guitarist/lead singer Dan Baird and infectious lead guitarist Rick Richards set the pounding groove of drummer Mauro Magellan and bassist Rick Price ablaze. The Satellites delivered an 18-song masterclass in roots, rock and edge, not only burning up Battleship Chains, Railroad Steel and Can't Stand The Pain, but also leading the beyond-SRO crowd through a shout-along of Keep Your Hands To Yourself, complete with a brazen stripper grind on It's Only Rock & Roll by the Rolling Stones.
