Blind Boy Fuller was one of the defining guitarists and singers of the American Piedmont Blues tradition. Columbia/Legacy'sEast Coast Piedmont Stylebrings together 20 recordings from 1935 to 1939, offering a compelling introduction to Fuller's distinctive acoustic blues sound and the rich musical tradition of the American East Coast.

Fuller's remarkable guitar technique is at the heart of the collection. His intricate fingerpicking, ragtime-influenced rhythms and expressive vocals create the unmistakable sound associated with Piedmont Blues. Among the highlights are „Rag, Mama, Rag“, „Baby You Gotta Change Your Mind“, „My Brownskin Sugar Plum“, „I'm A Rattlesnakin' Daddy“, „Looking For My Woman“ and „Ain't It A Cryin' Shame?“. The album contains 20 tracks with a total running time of approximately 61 minutes.

The collection also features some outstanding guest musicians. Blind Gary Davis contributes guitar on several recordings, while Bull City Red provides washboard and a young Sonny Terry can be heard on harmonica. Five of the selections were previously unissued, adding further interest for blues enthusiasts and collectors.
