Born Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero on December 12, 1937, in Newark, New Jersey, she burst onto the international stage with the timeless hit “Who's Sorry Now” in 1958.
What followed was a string of global successes: “Where the Boys Are,” “Stupid Cupid,” “Lipstick on Your Collar,” and “My Happiness” became cornerstones of the soundtrack to an era. Connie Francis also held a special place in German hearts.
