Emtidi’s Saat is a distinctive German album from 1972, combining folk, psychedelic elements and early progressive or krautrock influences. Originally released on the Pilz label, the album was made with the involvement of producer and engineer Dieter Dierks. The music brings together acoustic guitar and folk-oriented passages with Hammond organ and psychedelic electronic textures. The six-track programme consists of Walkin' In The Park, Träume, Touch The Sun, Love Time Rain, Saat and Die Reise. With a running time of around 38 minutes, the album develops a compact but atmospheric musical journey. Touch The Sun and Die Reise are the two longest pieces and provide much of the album’s expansive character. Saat remains an appealing release for collectors of German progressive music, psychedelic folk and the early krautrock scene of the 1970s.
