His signature hit, “It’s All In The Game,” has never sounded better in wide stereo (also here in its original 1951 pre-rock & roll version). Includes all his other big hits like “Please Mr. Sun,” “Love Is All We Need” and “I Really Don’t Want To Know.”

Tommy Edwards

Tommy Edwards, originally a composer, was born in Richmond, Virginia, on Feb. 17, 1922. He wrote 'That Chick's Too Young To Fry' for Louis Jordan. He first recorded 'It's All In The Game' (whose melody was composed by a for-mer US Vice-Persident in 1912) in 1951, but only on its re-release with a heavier backing was it a hit. In 1958, it went to No. 1 on MGM.

The song has since been recorded as a 'beat-ballad' by many singers. Edwards himself died on Oct. 22, 1969
