Norwegian music does not exactly mean traditional jazz and blues. Tor Einar Bekken, aka Dr Bekken, perhaps teaches us a better one:
The Norwegian traditional jazz and blues pianist Tor Einar Bekken has an absolutely convincing variety of styles within this direction and is considered one of the few specialists in Norway.

This album is a live recording of a concert in the Moscow Bar in Trondheim. It presents Dr Bekken's wide range of stylistic devices, his virtuosity and faithful interpretation. In addition to the New Orleans style, however, one also discovers a Finnskogenian touch - a traditional Norwegian tone - in his compositions, which make up the special spice in his music.

A great traditional jazz and blues piano album with a touch of Norwegian - a brilliant and extraordinary mix - so easy to cross the paths on Fjords and Bayous!
