The five-piece line-up (the original trio plus Boz Boorer and John Buck) play their way through a wild and fast-paced rock'n'blues that leaves the listener breathless. In the midst of this wildness, they manage to incorporate some jive (Gettin' Drunk), jazz (Doctor Jazz, a Boorer original that quotes Charlie Parker), rock'n'roll (High Falutin' Mama), rockabilly (Rock Me) and even gospel (Down By the Riverside).
Occasional piano, saxophone and harmonica interludes brighten up the performance. The sound is raw and unpolished, similar to Billy Childish's blues albums.
