Gene Clark & Carla Olson So Rebellious A Lover (CD)

An exquisite combination of talent, sense of spontaneity and spiritual connection characterizes the duo of Carla Olson and Gene Clark. Olson's shrill and powerful vocals harmonize beautifully with Clark's slightly world-weary, soulful delivery. Clark contributes one of his best later compositions, Gypsy Rider, a multi-layered song that can easily be described as autobiographical. Chemistry is the operative word here.

The only sad thing is that So Rebellious a Lover was to remain the duo's only studio work before Clark passed away in 1991. This CD is important not only because it is, but also because it could have followed.
