(Universal/Comic Relief) 4 tracks

Tony Christie feat. Peter Kay – (Is This The Way To) Amarillo is the 2005 CD single of the well-known classic, released by Universal. The release contains three audio tracks: (Is This The Way To) Amarillo (Single Version), Amarillo (Club Mix) and The Laughing Record. It also includes the video for (Is This The Way To) Amarillo / Red Nose Day as an extra. The song was written by Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield and had already become associated with Tony Christie before the 2005 version brought the title back into the spotlight. The collaboration with Peter Kay combines Tony Christie's distinctive pop style with the humorous character of the campaign surrounding the release. This CD single is a snapshot of British pop culture in the mid-2000s and the renewed popularity of the song. FOMO: For collectors of 2000s CD singles, Tony Christie releases and British pop culture, this edition is a worthwhile addition to a collection.

"Tony Christie Feat. Peter Kay"

„Las Vegas', „I Did What I Did for Maria', „Amarillo', „Don't Go Down To Reno' und „Avenues und Alleyways' wurden Superhits.
