After over five decades of touring, writing and recording, bassist Willie J. Campbell's family is releasing this album with more than a little help from his friends, including nearly 20 blues artists. This posthumous album release is the result of Willie J.'s desire to record one last album after being diagnosed with terminal ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). His musical friends from around the country have come together to create a blues album that showcases Willie J.'s extensive talent. Featuring a variety of performers including Kim Wilson, frontman of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, his closest friend and guitarist Kid Ramos, and more than a dozen other incredible musicians, this album will have you on your feet celebrating the life of Willie J.
