Dirty beats, hypnotic slides, screeching harmonica riffs and lots of fuzz: all this is served up by this four-piece band from Belgium.

Boogie Beasts translate their passion for (hill country) blues into a highly distinctive sound that has hints of The Black Keys jamming with John Lee Hooker at an early morning rave, or Morphine on a psychedelic trip with Little Walter, or even RL Burnside backed by the young Rolling Stones at a juke joint gig. So far, the bass-less (two guitars, harmonica, drums) quartet has released three studio albums and played all the venues in Benelux multiple times over the years.

Here's the story behind Blues From Jupiter: It starts in early 2021 and venues and clubs are closed due to restrictions from the Covid pandemic. Belgian blues rock band Boogie Beasts are looking for alternatives to celebrate their 10th anniversary. On March 6, they'll be live on Facebook from Studio Jupiter, where they recorded their second and third albums. Throughout the livestream, Boogie Beasts honored their roots and biggest influence: the blues.

The result was an intense and energetic set of 11 covers that were received with great enthusiasm. The feedback was so enthusiastic that the idea was born to release this live session as an album.
