The commercial peak of Blizzard's career came with the German version of the Het classic Ik heb geen zin om op te staan. She didn't want to get up today, that was pure beatpower, the harder sound beyond the Hollies, and furthermore the song reflected the general attitude to life of the mid-sixties par excellence. When the Rolling Stones released Satisfaction in 1965, it was the first popular record to feature a distortion. Vox in England had two prototypes developed at that time. She gave one to Rolling Stone Keith Richards, the other went to the Philips in Germany. There it was passed on to Joachim Beutler, into whose possession it also passed. I don't feel like getting up today, it was used for the first time as a record. Hence the mercilessly strong guitar sound. That Keith Richards then used a different model for the Stones recording in the USA is a new story.

In Berlin the number became a real hit after running in RIAS, but Philips had failed to bring the record to the shops. The demand exceeded the supply, and so the status of the song and its sales figures do not correspond.
