After more than 30 years Leo Bennink is back with his old formation The Black Albinos. In 1996, two ex-members of the band, guitarist Leo Bennink and drummer Leo Kappé, caught the old instrumental virus again, and mainly due to the inspiring influence of renowned bassist Hoss van Hardeveld (FBI), a new formation was soon a fact. Guitarist Dihl Bennink, Leo's brother, and teenage guitarist/vocalist Ritch van Gessel completed the band. So the new Black Albino's consists of a combination of four old hands of rock music and a young fanatic. The repertoire is again mostly instrumental rock music from the 60's, with The Ventures as a great example. Also, classic material from heroes like The Tielman Brothers, The Shadows, etc. and, very importantly, a still growing number of Leo Bennink's own songs. In addition, a song repertoire was built up with material from Elvil Preslex, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, etc..
